Soak
WaterSummary
Soak is a Water-type status move with 100% accuracy. This move does not deal any damage but changes the target's type to pure Water for the duration of the battle or until the target switches out. Soak is particularly strategic in battles as it can remove the target's STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) effect and make it susceptible to Electric and Grass-type moves. It can be especially useful when used on Pokémon that are typically resistant to Water-type moves, forcing them into a type disadvantage. Soak can also be used to prepare an opponent for subsequent status moves such as Toxic, which normally don't affect Steel- or Poison-types.
Effect
Changes the target to pure water-type until it leaves the field. If the target has multitype, this move will fail.
