Metapod is a Bug-type Pokémon, well-known as the cocoon stage in the evolutionary line that starts with Caterpie and ultimately ends with Butterfree. It is characterized by its hard, green outer shell, a protective casing formed during its metamorphosis process.

• Shed Skin: This is Metapod's primary ability. It provides Metapod with a 1 in 3 chance of recovering from a status condition (such as paralysis or poisoning) at the close of each turn.
• Hidden Ability (Nonexistent): Metapod does not possess a hidden ability.

Appearance and Characteristics:

• Metapod possesses a shell-like body with a unique shape akin to a green chrysalis. It features two large, crescent-shaped eyes, lending it a constant sleepy or contemplative expression.
• Given that Metapod's primary function is to concentrate on its transformation into Butterfree, it remains largely immobile and passive. Its hard shell serves as a protective barrier against potential threats.
