Growth is a Normal-type non-damaging move with no power and perfect accuracy. It raises the user's Attack and Special Attack stats by one stage under normal conditions. However, when used in harsh sunlight, Growth increases these stats by two stages instead, making it particularly effective in sunny weather teams. Growth was introduced in Generation I and has remained a valuable setup move across various generations, especially for Grass-type Pokémon, which often benefit from sunny weather. It allows Pokémon to boost their offensive capabilities, paving the way for powerful subsequent attacks.
