Torment
DarkSummary
Torment is a Dark-type move with no power or accuracy stat because it does not directly deal damage. Instead, Torment prevents the target from using the same move consecutively, which can severely disrupt an opponent's strategy by forcing them to alternate their moves. This is particularly useful against Pokémon that rely heavily on a single powerful move. Torment has 100% accuracy, meaning it will always hit the target unless they are under a protective effect like Fly or Dig. It's often used in competitive play to add an extra layer of strategy and can be combined effectively with other disruptive moves to control the flow of battle.
Effect
Prevents the target from attempting to use the same move twice in a row. When the target leaves the field, this effect ends. If the target is forced to attempt a repeated move due to choice band, choice scarf, choice specs, disable, encore, taunt, only having PP remaining for one move, or any other effect, the target will use struggle instead. The target is then free to use the forced move next turn, as it didn't use that move this turn.
