Inkay is a dual-type Dark/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation VI.

Type: Dark / Psychic

Abilities: - Contrary: This ability makes stat changes have an opposite effect. - Suction Cups: This ability makes the Pokémon immovable by others' moves and attacks. - Hidden Ability: Infiltrator - This ability allows the Pokémon to pass through the opposing Pokémon's barrier, substitute, and the like and strikes.

Physical Characteristics: - Inkay is a blue squid-like Pokémon with a round body and four tentacles. - Its eyes are yellow with small pupils, and above them are pink, wavy markings. - It has a light pink, beak-like protrusion on the front of its face.

Behavior and Habitat: - Inkay is known for its unique method of combat in which it flips its body upside down to confuse its opponents. - It typically resides in ocean habitats.

In Battle: - Inkay's Contrary ability can be used to turn stat-lowering moves into a benefit, effectively increasing its stats. - Its move Topsy-Turvy can reverse all stat changes of the target Pokémon.

Evolution: - Inkay evolves into Malamar starting at level 30 when leveled up while the game system is held upside down.

Interesting Facts: - Inkay is the only known Pokémon that evolves when the game system is held upside down. - Its method of evolving reflects its unique battle strategy of flipping upside down to confuse opponents. - The light-emitting spots on Inkay's body can flash and create complex patterns to transfix its foes.
